San Biagio Church

1 Minute of reading

The parish church within the castle walls is dedicated to St. Blaise, protector against epidemics and sore throats and dates back to the 12th century.

Chiesa di San Biagio

Although largely modernised in the 17th century, it still has the characteristics of a Romanesque church from the 12th century, with an orbicular single lancet window on the façade, uncovered roof trusses and a semi-circular outer apse with an oblong slit window.

Inside, precious frescoes and sacred paintings can be admired. The date 1505 is engraved on the lintel of the entrance door.
