1 Minute of reading

The ancient church of the Madonna del Gonfalone houses the Choir Museum, an evocative and unique experience for visitors.

Museo dei Corali

The precious Stroncone Choir books are nine liturgical-musical manuscripts on parchment, dating back to the 14th century. Coming from the two collegiate churches of the Archangel St. Michael and San Nicola, they were discovered by Luigi Lanzi in 1883.  Inside, one can admire valuable miniatures, enriched with pure gold sheets. Being of particular historical, artistic and musicological significance, the nine choir books are unique pieces that have been excellently preserved.

The museum can be visited by reservation by contacting the Municipality of Stroncone. Admission is free.
