A journey through time and the territory of Stroncone

Museo di Storia Naturale

The setting up of the Natural History Museum dates back to 1976 when a group of enthusiastic members of the Gruppo Speleologico di Stroncone (Stroncone Speleological Group) came up with the idea of creating a place to preserve and enhance the area's rich natural heritage.

Since then, the museum has continued to grow and enrich itself, becoming a point of reference for all those who wish to explore and better understand the wonderful world that surrounds us.

The various collections on display, ranging from palaeontology to geology, from ethnology to zoology, offer an in-depth look at the many facets of nature and the life that animates the area.

Through a careful arrangement of the environmental reproductions within various compartments, visitors are guided on an immersive journey, permitting them to explore and fully understand the natural beauty of the Stroncone area and beyond.

In addition to the actual exhibition, there is an educational area in the museum, where school groups and visitors can broaden their knowledge and deepen their understanding of the topics covered during the visit.
